We are delighted to announce that Little but LIVE! will be returning to Moseley Park on the 16th-18th September, a little bit bigger and a little bit brighter as this year we have been awarded funding from Arts Council England! From theatre and music to arts and comedy, we have a bit of everything this year. Take a look at our programme below to see what's on. The Comedy of Errors
Schools Performance
Paperback’s own rip-roaring production of one of Shakespeare’s funniest plays. We have got just 1 hr, 4 actors to retell this farcical tale of lost twins, reunited families and a missing chain!

Folk Open Mic hosted by Thorpe & Morrison

“Rising stars” of the UK's folk scene, Thorpe & Morrison host an intimate & relaxed Folk Open Mic night for any local musicians - please note this will be followed by a traditional folk session for those who would like get involved.
Doors open 7.30pm, sign up slots on a first come first served basis.

Esteemed spoken word artist Lexia Tomlinson, hosts an hour long poetry writing workshop on the theme of connection. Lexia will help you learn about coming up with poetic ideas and structuring / presenting your poetry.

Recycled Arts and Crafts Workshop with Trevor Boddington (For ages 6+, FREE TO ATTEND)
Madhap-toy-tinkering genius Trevor Boddington, will present you with a great pile of recycled materials & show you how to build your own toys/ robots out of what looks like just a pile of rubbish.

Warli Art Painting Workshop with Sonal Gajbe
in Moseley HIVE

Local Artist Sonal Gajbe teaches you about the fascinating history of Warli Art (a form of Indian folk art), and guides you through painting your own piece of acrylic Warli art to take home.

Witness one of Birmingham’s brightest & most exciting new composers, Millicent B James present work from her first two EPs Moyo. Vol 1. And Vol. 2.

Seedbomb Sculpture Making with Itzatna Arts
(For all ages 3+, FREE TO ATTEND)
Join ITZATNA Arts for a messy, hands-on, eco-art workshop to create your own ‘seedbomb sculpture’ from seed, terracotta clay, and gardening tools which you can take with you to guerilla-garden your local neighbourhood!

Bhangra Dance and Dhol Drumming Workshop
with Eternal Taal
(For all ages, FREE TO ATTEND)
The UK’s first all female Bhangra group, led by the UK’s first female Dhol Drummer, Parv Kaur - will get your blood pumping and your feet flying with their Dhol Drumming and Bhangra Dance workshop. Play one of India’s traditional instruments, and learn a few bhangra moves to whip out at parties.

FLEX by Cloud Cuckoo Land

An open-air musical adventure with live band & plenty of opportunities to join in, Flex is a show aimed at both neurodivergent & neurotypical children. Aimed at children aged 5 - 10 but people of all ages welcomed too!

Shakespearean Insults Workshop with Rachel Green

Community Vibe’s Rachel Green presents an interactive, educational and fun performance & follow-on workshop for all the family to watch and learn from! Come and create your own fun insults inspired by the words of the Bard.

Sunset Folk Farewell with The Filkin’s Ensemble
supported by Thorpe & Morrison (£5)
‘Birmingham’s premier folk supergroup’, this new ensemble brings together 15 of the UK’s finest young folk musicians in an adventurous collaboration. The ensemble explores British folk traditions through the lens of the diverse metropolitan hub that is Birmingham.

Please note that we are not able to issue refunds for any of our paid events, except in the case that the event has sold out and we can re-sell tickets.
If you have booked a free ticket but can no longer attend the event, please do return it as it really helps our team. We want as many people as possible to be able to attend Little but LIVE! and to take advantage of all the free tickets on offer. By returning any free tickets you no longer need you are helping us to do this.
